Crescent Designed Metals was founded by Woody Schellinger and Albert & Joseph Milani in 1990 in Philadelphia, PA.

Michaels Art Bronze, a pioneer in custom architectural metalwork, was founded in Kentucky in 1870 and was acquired by Crescent Designed Metals in 1991.

Today, a second generation of the Milani family owns and operates Crescent/Michaels in Philadelphia. From the Crescent/Michaels marriage flows the experience and expertise in engineering, project management, & fabrication, which enables us to create custom bronze, stainless steel, aluminum, & glass fabrications of exceptional quality. Our projects range in size from less than $1,000 to more than $3,000,000.

Our work includes custom canopies, doors, windows, entrances, rail, panels, cladding, column covers, millwork accents, lobby accents, & miscellaneous custom fabrications and can be seen in State & Federal Buildings, Embassies, Museums, Office Buildings, Universities & Schools, Hotels, Banks, Public Transportation, Casinos, Restaurants, and Retail Stores.

We can apply a wide range of finishes to produce just the right look including: bronze patinas, statuary finishes, clear & tinted lacquers, painted or anodized aluminum, sand-blasted & bead-blasted, etc.

While we always welcome the opportunity to work directly with our customers, most often we work through General Contractors, Miscellaneous Steel Suppliers, Millworkers, Curtain Wall and other Specialty Contractors.
